INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 11, 2012 – The 2012 Firestone Indy Lights season has been a journey full of excitement and new challenges for Juan Pablo Garcia and Jeffrey Mark Motorsport (JMM), and both are ready to finish strong at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Sept. 15.In its first Firestone Indy Lights season, JMM has scored eight top-ten finishes with Garcia. 2012 was Garcia’s first year competing full-time in Firestone Indy Lights racing.Garcia is looking forward to a return to oval racing at Auto Club Speedway after a stretch of four straight road and street circuits.

“Oval racing is always fun and different, especially since I’m pretty new to them,” Garcia said. “I tested in Fontana earlier this year though, so at least I already know the track well.”

Garcia believes driving on three other ovals this year (Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Iowa) will pay dividends when the team arrives in Fontana.

“I feel more confident in myself to be ready for big oval tracks now that the season is wrapping up,” he said. “The team has done a great job of prepping the car for ovals, and I would like to leave Fontana giving them the best result possible.”

Despite it being a brand new race team, JMM’s professionalism has been helpful to Garcia over the season.

“I’ve learned a ton this year from my engineer and team at each track, and I’m really happy with that,” he said.

The green flag will drop on the Firestone Indy Lights 100 at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. PT. The race can be seen tape-delayed Thursday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. ET.
