April 1, 2012 – Birmingham, Alabama

Coming into their second race of the season, Jeffrey Mark Motorsport with driver Juan Pablo Garcia were ready to race. After rain delays and skip plate complications during the practice sessions, the #76 Freightliner Jeffrey Mark Motorsport car started P11 in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

The 17-turn road course stretching 2.38 miles is one of the most challenging road courses on the schedule. With no rain clouds in sight, the Freighliner Jeffrey Mark Motorsport team was ready for a good run. With the help of a good start and a steady race, the #76 car finished P8.

“It was a really tough race, even tougher than I expected,” JPG noted. “We made some changes to the car but it didn’t handle the way I thought so it was a challenging race. It took a lot of patience. The crew did great and I am glad we ended P8. I’m looking forward to Long Beach and I hope I have a better finish there.”

With a weekend off, the Firestone Indy Lights Series will head to Long Beach, California for the Streets of Long Beach April 15th. Fans can catch live scoring of the event on IndyCar.com and see all the action on NBC Sports Network.
